THE AVERAGE FEMALE BRAIN IS VERY DIFFERENT THAN THAT OF THE MALE BRAIN
It has been less than 10 years since researchers began to look closely at the differences. This work continues today, vigorously. One of the leading chroniclers, Louannn Brizendine has put all of the current results together in an easy to read volume called THE FEMALE BRAIN. Most guys should read this book. The brain of the female is unique in structure. A woman uses about 20,000 words each day, a man only about 7,000. A woman remembers fights that a man insists never happened. Thoughts about sex enter the female’s brain once every couple of days. As for the man, it is almost one time a minute. Women know how people are feeling at any moment. Men can’t spot an emotion unless someone cries or threatens bodily harm. A woman over 50 is more likely to initiate divorce than the male.
These are some of the obvious observations. To go further, the man’s brain is 9% larger than the girl’s, but their brain cells are packed tighter and their cell numbers are the same as the guy's. They process stimuli like hearing, seeing, sensing, and gauging what others are feeling in different ways. This is especially true in the mother and the relationship with their offspring. No matter whether their child is in the home or outside, their built-in GPS system will be dedicated to tracking that beloved child.
Continuing with further thoughts from the studies on nursing mothers, they will go through withdrawal symptoms when they wean their babies. All of these physical things and reactions are due to the great differences in the brain chemicals and their release stimuli and schedules, as they exist. We referred earlier to the frequency of sexual thoughts in the male and female. The differences come also from the size of the center in the brain that controls this. The man’s is twice as large. Finally, all fetuses begin as female and then after a short time the changes begin to take place for the male, but definitely includes their brain. This very fascinating research has a long way to go to be finished. There’s obviously so much more to be discovered.
